2020 has been a strange year but if there’s one thing we can count on – it’s Christmas lights. Here is your go-to list of the best Christmas Light Displays in and around Baltimore 2020.

Symphony of Lights – Columbia, MD

A time-honored tradition located in the heart of Howard County, drive through a winding path of Christmas lights open nightly (until January 2) or mask up and walk through the lights on select nights listed below.

Drive Through: Weekdays, 6-10pm or Weekends, 5-10pm
Cost: $20 per car (cash or credit – can pay at entrance)

Monday, December 7, 2020 – Tail Lights, 5:30 PM – 7:30 PM

Miracle on 34th Street – Hampden, Baltimore

Grab dinner at a local spot on the Avenue in Hampden then enjoy the brightest street in Baltimore. This year, 34th Street is urging guests to drive-through the small street instead of walk it. Usual years get extremely crowded. Use your own discretion.

The 6th Annual Patterson Park Pagoda Lighting – Virtual

Hop online for a celebration of the 6th Annual Holiday Pagoda Lighting! There will be special songs, holiday messages from celebrity guests, a countdown to the lighting and more.
The event will premiere on Facebook Live and at the Patterson Park website here.
The Pagoda will be dressed for the winter season from December 6 to mid-January. Bring your hot chocolate and view it in person whenever you want!

Zoo Lights – The Maryland Zoo in Baltimore

A brilliant seasonal spectacle is coming to the Zoo this winter! Drive or walk through a festival of lights shaped like wildlife and your face might just light up too. Plus, get that warm glowing feeling inside knowing you are supporting the Zoo’s animal care and conservation work. Advanced reservations are required.

Drive Through:

  • Wednesdays & Thursdays from 5:00 – 7:00 PM
  • Fridays & Sundays from 5:00 – 8:00 PM

Cost: $45 per car

Walk Through:

  • Limited tickets available!
  • Saturdays only
  • 4:30 – 7:30 PM

Winter Wonderland – Bel Air, MD

Enjoy the spirit of the holiday season along Main Street between the Armory and the Harford County Courthouse. Lights are on until January 1st.

The Mount Vernon Washington Monument Lighting – Virtual

The 49th (!!) annual Downtown Partnership Monument Lighting will take place virtually this year. Tune into WJZ Channel 13 at 7:30 – 8pm for festive performances and special guests as we count down the lighting of the Washington Monument in Mount Vernon Place.

Grab food or a drink at one of Mt. Vernon’s neighborhood favorites (Dooby’s, Sugarvale, The Marketplace) and see the monument for yourself any other day… there will be no in-person event on the night of the monument lighting.

Highland Holiday Tractor Parade – Falling Branch Brewery, Harford County, MD

Parade begins at 5pm, route to begin at 707 Old Pylesville Rd. traveling to Street Rd. to Highland Rd. ending at Falling Branch Brewery. Tractors onsite at Falling Branch for you to view. Open Air vendor tables socially distanced for Holiday shopping. Food trucks at Falling Branch Brewery. Parade viewing areas, area in front of Goldenspring Ct. in Street, Highland activity center building parking lot, Highland Presbyterian parking lot.
