Light Up Your Holiday Spirit!

Can you feel that holiday cheer in the air?! If you’re like most people, you’re probably out and about doing your holiday shopping and enjoying time with friends and family. One great way to enjoy some time with family from out of town is to go check out the light displays and holiday events.

Since it’s getting dark early, there’s plenty of time to take advantage of the best decorations and events in the Baltimore area. If you’re not sure where to go, check out some of these local favorites…

34th Street in Hampden

This display is the most popular and well-known light display in Baltimore. The whole street lights up a little after 5 each evening and stays lit until around 11. You can check out this “Miracle on 34 th Street” display up through December 31 st.

Symphony of Lights

You’ll have to go a little out of Baltimore County for this one. This drive-thru display takes place in Columbia from November 23 rd through January 1 st. Expect to pay $20 per car to check out 250,000 bulbs, a laser show and an outdoor skating rink. Symphony of Lights is open from 5:30-10PM Wednesday-Sunday.

Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer 4D

The Baltimore Aquarium puts on some of the best shows. Pack up the kids and head out to this show anytime from now through January 2 nd. Don’t forget to take a tour of the aquarium when the show is over!

Lights on the Bay

If you’re heading anywhere near Annapolis through January 1 st, check out the Lights on the Bay event, 3D glasses included. With 2 miles of lights and a scavenger hunt for the kids, this event is one you won’t want to miss.

Christmas Village

West Shore Park in the Inner Harbor becomes a Christmas Village through December 24 th. There are tons of activities for everyone, vendors, lights and more. Check it out from 11AM-7PM on weekdays and 11AM-8PM on Fridays and Saturdays.
